R.Taylors left the factory with Elixir Phosphor Bronze Nano Lights or Mediums,
depending on body size.  Style 2's had the Lights, Styles 1&3 had Mediums.

I have found no better strings for Styles 1 & 2 for my tastes, regardless of
woods, bracing or top geometry.

I purchased the Taylor 2011 Fall Limited GA KOA in December.  Have been playing it almost every day since.  However I find that now I am going to try different strings as I would like a little more brilliance.  Just the opposite of what I want on my twelve string.  However after trying some different strings I hope to be able to see (actually hear)  what the KOA is capable of, even though it will change over the next months (or years) being all KOA. If anyone has tried different strings (than those from Taylor)  on this model would like to hear their comments.

Elixir PB nanowebs, med-lights (12-56) on my style 2.  With the 12-er, I wish elixir made em in PBs, but only make their 12-set in 80/20s ...again I use nanos, in light (10-47).

I also use Elixir PB lights on my RT 2's.  I have tried D'Addario PB coated lights, but didn't like the way the guitars sounded with them (too bright and with a loss of low midrange and richness)  Much prefer the Elixirs.  They last a long time too.
