Greetings, everyone; I am a new member
« on: May 23, 2012, 06:45:44 PM »
Hi, everyone.

I just wanted to introduce myself to this forum.  I've come here because I've decided to take the plunge and buy myself a new Taylor.  I spent several hours yesterday playing a few different models.  I fell in love with a gorgeous 716ce cedar which I have on 'layaway'.  The reason I did not buy it outright is because I had already purchased  a used 814 (spruce & Rosewood) just a few days earlier.   I look forward to mingling and learning other's opinions, stories, wishes and of course, creative goals and endeavors.  I presently own a few very nice guitars, and I probably should NEVER have walked into that store, but, alas, I did, and look what happened!  In any case, I'm glad to be here.  :)

Welcome WillaMuse.  I think you will really like the 716ce, they sound great, of course so does the 814.

Hi Willa, I went looking for a cedar topped guitar in the 500 series but ended up with the 516 LTD Koa from a few years ago.

At first I thought the GS shape was too big but I have grown to love it and the sound these guitars produce.

Welcome to the forum!

Hi,

At first handling, I also first thought the GS size was too big, but then I played it for an hour and I loved it.  It is a nice guitar.  I am a guitar NUT, and iin addition to the others I bought a floor model,  gorgeous 916ce with the Cindy inlays.  Needless to say, I am quite over-whelmed!  However, I absolutely love them all!

Photos, of all three coming soon.

:)

Welcome home, Willa! You've come to the right place to talk Taylor. I think you'll like the people here as much as you do your new guitars!

Hi Willa and welcome to the UTGF! Sounds like both guitars will offer you years of enjoyment! And please don't forget to post the pics when you have both guitars! We never seem to tire looking at Taylors! ;)
