Out for delivery. I've wanted one of these for several years but took a long, circuitous route to get it...

The worse words for me are "Delivery Attempt 1". Since my work involves weird hours I'm not always at home OR at work when the truck arrives. The nice thing about USPS is they'll just hold it for me.

Agree 1000%

That is a beautiful specimen! Congrats!

For me NGD usually means sick leave from work. I just have to be there for the arrival.

To paraphrase Sidra (aka Terry Hatcher), it arrived, it looks great, and it sounds spectacular...

Is that a GA8?

Hoping to see those words on Friday.  Ordered a GA3 today to be shipped tomorrow.  Can't wait for my first Taylor!

Congrats on your new Taylor!  I'll never get passed the great Sitka/EIR combo...just a match made in heaven for sure.   8)

PS...what are some similarities/differences between your GA8 and GA4 sound wise?  If you could only keep one of them which one would you.....  nevermind, I won't do that to you!  ;)

I'm not real good at describing tone so bear with me on this one. I changed the strings on the GA4 so the comparison is a bit more even. The GA8 seems to have much more complexity and depth in its tone. It really rings, and the GA4 seems more "muffled" by comparison. I don't know how much is due to the Fishman Matrix Infinity in the GA4, or wood/bracing differences. I'm going to record both so others with better adjectives can perhaps describe the differences, but there's no doubt that the GA8 is my bucket list guitar. I got an amazing buy on this barely used Taylor so, believe it or not, the prices were similar. I've toyed with the idea of selling the GA4 and keeping the GA8 as my only Taylor, but I've decided to keep both so that I can more readily play out with the GA4 and it's plug-in capability.
