Would the GS Mini be better if it was all solid wood?

1 3/4" nut and slotted head stock, 14th fret, Madagascar b/s GS Mini is what  they should consider.  Ok so maybe that was a little sarcastic.  But I would like to see the 1 3/4" nut width

This times 1 million!  I loved the size and tone of the Mini I used to own, but ultimately sold it b/c I found the fretboard to be very uncomfortable compared to my 816ce and 714ce.

Yes Yes Yes. I would trade mine in a heartbeat for a 1 3/4 nut model of the same guitar. !!!!

+1 on the 1.75 for sure! Solid wood mini? I duhno about that one, I think one of the biggest strengths of the mini is the value, I suspect a solid wood mini would make for a really fun instrument but at much less of a value. Don't forget there are some redeeming qualities to laminated guitars, take camping for instance! The current mini is purpose-built with a solid wood attitude, like it has no idea it's a little guitar. If the GS Mini was an animal, it would be a honeybadger. haha

In one of the recent issues of W&S BT was asked about an all solid wood mini GS and he said sometime.  I expect it to be a LTD edition.

On a related note, I found my GS Mini in all solid but its not a Taylor it is a Yamaha AC3M.  Size of a Taylor GC, depth of a dread, all solid wood.

I don't see how the GS Mini's could be more popular...they fly out of the stores as soon as they get them in!  Better...probably, but better for the price?

I don't know...

BTW, I owned two Larrivee parlors over the years and I actually like my GS Mini better.

I like the Min ithe way it is for a travel all around guitar. only TWO things I would see make it better IMO. 1 3/4 nut and a standard rear strap button.

Totally agree with you about the strap button. I don't care for the current solution. Looks really clunky.

And obviously I'm with you on the nut width -- see earlier in this thread
