Is there a difference in series with same woods?
« on: August 04, 2013, 01:43:51 PM »
I've noticed that there are a few series that have solid spruce tops with solid rosewood sides.  Is there any significant difference in the series, sound wise, given the same size guitar?  Or is the difference in the accompaniments of the specific series?

Besides more bling, the higher series models will have choice woods (aesthetically only). For the characteristics that affect tone, the differences are as follows:

Spruce/EIR 700 series - Forward Shifted II Bracing, Tusq Nut/Saddle
Spruce/EIR 800-series - CV Bracing, Tusq Nut/Saddle
Spruce/EIR 900-series - CV Bracing, Bone Nut/Saddle
