A little late introducing....
« on: October 14, 2013, 10:56:05 PM »
Hi everyone,

I'm a 52 year old (when I read 52 I can hardly believe it!) "housewife" that used to be a certified medical assistant until my mother fell ill and has needed my help. I also have a 15 year old daughter and a great husband who has allowed me to indulge myself with the luxury of learning the guitar.
Don't know what took me so long, but this has taught me it's never too late and really really hard!
I would like to say that I have met and talked to on the internet some of the nicest people I've encountered in my life. Wish I'd started sooner just because of that:)

Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this forum and thanks for the assistance in my quest to be an old and happy rocker:)
Lizzy

Welcome aboard, Lizzy.  This is a friendly place, with lots of helpful folks... you've picked some nice guitars.  The playing gets easier and even more fun as your experience increases.  Plenty of "happy, old rockers" here - you'll fit right in.   8)

Best wishes,

Hi Lizzy. I'm 52 years old myself, but never been accused of acting it. ;) There are some really great folks on this site. Keep hanging around here and we'll try to keep you motivated. It sure helps me. Have fun. Enjoy. :)

Hi Lizzy, great to have here with us.  Enjoy the forum.  There is a lot to learn,  and a lot of great people here.  I bought a 714 in 2011 and love it.  Mine is Cedar over Rosewood, it is a great combo.

Hi Lizzy,

Welcome to the forum.

I was 53 when I started, about 5 years ago, it was one of the best things I ever did; as you say, its never too late.

This forum is a great place and I've picked-up a lot from the very friendly people here.

Look forward to hearing of your progress

Cheers

You go girl! Happy to see some more girls around here. But, the guys that hang out here are just super. I'm a soon-to-be 50 year old gal that refuses to grow up.  Like they say......growing old is inevitable, growing up is an option!

Don't give up on learning.....you've got some awesome guitars to make it happen.

Bless you, for being there for mom. ;)

My wife would testify to that, she often tells me to grow up. ;D
