actually, he didnt give it to me. 3 weeks ago, he saw a guitar case in my backseat while i was getting gas at my usual place and asked if i played( uhh..duh.. guitar case !). he said he's had a gibson guitar in his closet for about 20 years but hasnt opened the case. it bleonged to his ex-wife's deceased father and hasnt seen sunlight since he died in 79. he asked if i knew anyone that might buy it and i made an offer sight unseen, no model # or any knowledge of it's condition. he took the money and made it back to my area tonite( only delivers up here every 3 weeks). this is what i got !

Congrats, stepchildusmc. I'm not sure what model that is, but the bridge with adjustable saddle indicates it's from the 60's.

Its a 67 or 68 Gibby B25. It needs a little love but for the price, I'd be an idiot to pass on it. Probably have it worked on a bit and sell it or trade it toward a 12 fretter.

I guess this is where the term GAS came from??? Best $ I ever spent! I was a bit worried about handing over cash to a complete stranger who's name o didn't even know.

i worked on it a little bit and gave it away to an aspiring student of blues. i couldn't take the 1 5/8" neck...too darn small.
 i'm out $250 but the gifting of it was priceless.
