Hi from Virginia!
« on: October 01, 2014, 01:01:39 AM »
Hi all from Richmond, Va.
Just joined the forum, so here's a brief intro...... I started playing about 18 mos ago so still quite green. Picked a 1999 Taylor 310 about a month ago and can't wait to pick it up each day to play. Loving it!

I started playing bluegrass, but have shifted my focus and am now learning Hawaiian slack key. Looking forward to learning from all of you and hopefully contributing in due time.

Have fun and play on....

Hi HudsonM1. Welcome to the UTGF. I drove through Richmond on my way to Ashburn back in July. Not a pleasant trip on I-95. :) I imagine your 310 handles bluegrass rather well. Glad you found us. Enjoy. :)

Welcome to the forum HudsonM1.   Hawaiian slack key is beautiful music that Taylor guitars handle nicely.

Aloha Hudson!  Both AZslacker and I play slack key.  Welcome to both clubs.
Taylors:  424-LTD (all koa) and a 114ce that lives with friends in Alaska.  Low maintenance carbon fiber guitars are my "thing" these days, but I will always keep the koa 424.  Several ukulele and bass guitars too.
*Gone but not forgotten:  a 2001 414ce, 410, 354-LTD twelve string, 314-N, 416-LTD baritone, T5 Classic, 615ce, 2006 GS-K, 1996 (first year) Baby
