I think it was either a loose top brace, or the under saddle electronics, but it was really rattling loud.  I would guess it was a shipping issue, as Taylor and Sweetwater would have noticed, as their quality control is quite good.

I had to return my 325ce Koa to Sweetwater, as it arrived defective--severe rattle in the top.  They were great, and gave me a very prompt refund.  It seemed like a nice guitar for the few hours that I had it before shipping it back.

How was the tone (sans rattle)? Can you compare to the higher end koa offerings from Taylor?

I just ordered one of each; the 324ce-K and the 326ce-K. I will keep one and give the other as a gift. I heard both of them played by the dealer (Chris McKee at Alamo). Will post sound files (if I can figure out how) comparing them to each other and perhaps to my current crew o' beauties.

Going to bring this thread back to life..... Anyone played the fall 324/326 koas and have thought on how they acoustically compare to the big brothers in the K series? Obviously lots of differences, but no place here has both to listen to side by side.

Good question. As a suggestion, pose this in a whole new thread. This thread has probably run its course and most people won't even see your question. You'll probably get good responses to a thread that's titled to what your question is. It's a good question that deserves some attention and feedback.
