Nice Hypermotard, love those 2 valve air cooled Ducatis. Rode a 900ssie for many years and many thousand miles before moving up to first a 999 and then the 1098 I have now.

All of my life I thought motorcycles were deathtraps (my parents said so when I was little). Somehow at the age of 53 I decided to expand my horizons and both my husband and I learned to ride a motorcycle.  Like you, we took the motorcycle safety course. I then was a co-rider with my husband for 3 years until 2004 when he bought a new GL11800 Goldwing. Our old 1988 GL1500 Goldwing had many miles on it and wasn't worth a lot. I wanted to trike it but the bike didn't justify the expense (250,000+ miles---220,000 from previous owner).  I found a sidecar on Ebay and I was happy for about 3 years until I had the itch for a trike. Long story short, I gave myself an early retirement present in 2008 and am still happily riding my GL1800 Goldwing trike with a Champion trike kit.  Now my husband rides a sidecar rig and we're enjoying retirement on three wheels!  The sidecar is the perfect thing to take a guitar case along with us.
