I just joined this forum as a new Taylor 322ce owner. I went into the store thinking that the 322e 12 fret was what I wanted. I sat with the 12 fret and the 14 fret version of the 322 for a little over an hour, switching back and forth. When it came down to it, I was more comfortable with the more prevalent 14 fret design. The tone between the two was to me, so very close that was not an issue in the decision process. It came down to how the guitar felt in my hands and the 14 fret came home with me. I'm in an 8 piece R&B/Blues Rock band and play acoustic open mic's with our old singer who didn't want to do amplified band stuff anymore. I'm looking forward to getting this 322ce into our open mic performances, as with most any mahogany based guitars the 322ce should compliment the vocals very well. I've got a Roland AC90 and a Rivera Sedona 55 for acoustic amplification and the 322ce sounds great through either of them. I had a 710 dred a few years back, so it's nice to be back in the Taylor owners family.
