Yes, they certainly do.

I remember you said you had gone to school in Boston, and also boating on the Charles River?

Turns out there is now a video of the concert,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8e-6nS8w_U

Rhiannon Giddens opens (0:00) with "Lonesome Road / Up Above My Head",
"Spanish Mary" (46:00)
"She's Got You" (51:35)
"Pretty Little Girl with the Blue Dress On" (57:00),
does an interview (1:16),
and a bit with the Indigo Girls later on.

Speaking of July 4th cannons, the U.S.S. Constitution, a sailing warship launched in 1797, often fires off her guns on July 4th as part of the commemoration. Berthed at the Charlestown Navy Yard and still commissioned in the U.S. Navy, it is now a museum ship. Here is a video of a sortie (Usually just on July 4th) into Boston Harbor from a few years ago. While there was an excursion this year, I didn't find a video of it. Occasionally using sails, on this video there is a Tugboat for motive power:

In the background is Castle Island, once the site of Castle William prior to the British evacuation of Boston.

The Constitution used to do a "turnaround" cruise every year, so a different side of the ship would be exposed to the elements every year.

Back on July 4, 1977 there were 400,000+ people on the Charles River Esplanade for the concert.
