Cool Factory Video...
« on: September 12, 2019, 08:54:20 PM »
This was posted in 2016, but I only now have found it while cruising through You Tube. It looks like it might have been produced for a Spanish-language channel. There's no speaking at all, just some really great guitar playing:

Double goodness in that video.
It is always interesting watching scenes from the Taylor factory.  The robot arms are a little bit freaky to watch.
The music was good.

Thanks for posting Shutterbug.  What a marvelous dance of human and machine!
I would love someday to visit a Taylor factory.

I usually don't watch most posted videos (there are only so many hours in a day after all) but that one was fascinating.  Especially for me as a mechanical engineer with a manufacturing minor.  My guess is that was the factory in Mexico.  A number of years ago Taylor was looking for engineers and I pondered sending a resume, but we were actually looking to flee from California, not move south to San Diego.  We went to Alaska instead.
Taylors:  424-LTD (all koa) and a 114ce that lives with friends in Alaska.  Low maintenance carbon fiber guitars are my "thing" these days, but I will always keep the koa 424.  Several ukulele and bass guitars too.
*Gone but not forgotten:  a 2001 414ce, 410, 354-LTD twelve string, 314-N, 416-LTD baritone, T5 Classic, 615ce, 2006 GS-K, 1996 (first year) Baby

I don't agree with them using the Mexico factory for the video.  I saw GS's and GA's being built as well.  Plus the guitars being built were not of the lines (like GS Mini 100's and 200's) that are made in Mexico.
They were making some higher end guitars in the video.
That video was published in 2016 and they were making dreads at El Cajon then.
