NGD - Taylor 814ce LTD Sassafras
« on: November 29, 2020, 11:26:35 AM »
Hi all, it's been a while since I wrote here on the forum, in the meantime I bought several guitars, the last one is this wonderful 814ce LTD sassafras, I am very impressed by the sound, a mixture of rosewood and mahogany, it is the first V-class I own, and I must say that I prefer this bracing over the old advanced performance x bracing, I hear a more resonant and woody sound.  I am really satisfied.  here are a couple of photos!

Well, if it sounds as good as it looks , it must sound fantastic. I too am a fan of the V - bracing and have it in my 814 and E14. I love how the ebony in your fretboard and pick guard play with the sassafras. Congratulations !

If I may; just to make the photos a bit more viewer friendly, I've taken the liberty of resizing them:

Would love to see the back...

Holy cow what a stunner! If I was ever going to go the route of another Taylor, I would absolutely go with sassafras. Any way you could post a photo of the back?

Congrats big time!

That is an outstanding instrument. I'll bet that the V bracing really enhances the tone that sassafras brings to a guitar. Like others, I'd love to see the back. Congratulations on a unique acquisition!

Wow, that is one awesome looking beauty! Congratulations!

What are the main differences between the Taylor 814CE LTD Sassafras and the Taylor 814-BCE like the one that I currently own?  Which one is more expensive?  If you have to pick one, which one would you choose?

Your Taylor is a Brazilian RW, surely most desirable
