+1 on the Taylor method.  Easy and clean.  Have done measurement modification for in line tuners and use it on my Strats as well.   Works well.

After seeing the Taylor method on the Taylor website I have always done it their way.  It looks so much cleaner.  I have a friend that lets the extra hang out all the time, I guess its his way of letting his freak flag fly. ;D

He sure is fast!!! Do you think he was stretching the strings as he was installing them, or didn't they get stretched? I am always so amazed when I see people installing strings and the strings don't fall out of the hole on the first wind like they do for me. ::)

I still can't believe it!!  I watched it again and I just sat there in awe!!  There is no telling how many strings he has changed or installed in his career!!  The tuning is still what impressed me the most!!

Quite good, but I can change a string in a couple of minutes too.

Oh, hang on, he did all six?  :o

I use my driver on the treble side strings and my hands on the bass. I also wrap over the plain strings. Guess I'll go into training. Ha Ha !

Cute demonstration, but it would take a lot longer if he had to take the strings out of their packaging, and coil up the old ones for disposal.

I bet it could take him up to :18 sec longer, give or take :0025 sec.

This could open a whole new forum on competitive string changing.

Everyone lined up with their guitar, waiting for the gun to go off.....

First one done, hands in the air!

Rob Magargal is the Lucas McCain of guitar techs...

Man, that is one obscure reference!

For me it isn't.  I watch the Rifleman on Me TV at least a few nights a week.  ;)

I would be a great candidate for the slowest string changer!!!  Everyone else would be finished, have their guitars packed up and on the way home by the time I got half of them changed!!! 8)
