Any good guitar magazines out there?
« on: February 15, 2012, 10:02:16 AM »
I'm a writer who's relatively new to guitars, and I've written an article that I'd like to submit to a magazine that specializes in acoustic guitars.  Aside from Acoustic Guitar magazine (who I've already contacted), are there any other how-to type magazines you can think of?

here are some others i've found just looking around

general list (links may or may not be current)
http://www.museweb.com/ag/periodicals.html

other periodicals
http://fingerstyleguitar.com/
hmm ... or may be not ???
http://ebfromga.wordpress.com/2009/03/05/fingerstyle-guitar-magazine-caution/

http://www.playguitarmagazine.com/

web magazines
http://www.acousticfingerstyle.com/
http://acousticplayermagazine.com/

i guess it would depend on the type of article, along with the complexity level
in terms of whether specific terminology is used (for experienced players) or
more general 'layman's' terms, with further explanation for entry level players

good luck :)

This is very helpful -- thanks everyone.  I already got an offer from one of the magazines.  More on that later.

I don't know too many "Good Ones" since they are all funded by Guitar business advertisements and can't bite the hand that feeds them. There aren't too many objective equipment reviews out there.
