Greetings from England....
« on: July 25, 2012, 12:05:03 AM »
I was a casual visitor to AGF until pressures of business coupled with the need to practice each day made me break the habit (!) late last year. Having returned over the past couple of weeks, it had changed and now I have stumbled across you folks here and the reason why.
Special good wishes to Michaelw who gave me great assistance by pm and e-mail in advance of my purchase of a GC Custom last year.
It already feels good just reading the threads as a guest while waiting for my appilcation for membership to be processed and accepted.
I am still a novice player but improving slowly through practice. And my Taylor is still the most beautiful instrument that I have ever seen. I am so fortunate.
Thanks and good luck all.

Thanks everyone.
The 2011 GC Custom has a deep pillow quilt maple back and sides, an adirondack top, figured mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and headstock, koa bindings all round, CV bracing, bone nut & saddle, gotuhs, green heart abalone inlay around the soundhole and the same inlay in the gothic vine design on the fret and matching inlay thingies on the bridge and headstock.
A stunning tone and a real beauty as well. I wish that I had the knowledge and experience to describe the sound. I am very fortunate.
(Special thanks to Jon and the team at My Favorite Guitars.)
Photographs? Hmmmnn. They were posted on the AGF site under my NGD thread last year so I'll have to ask a passing 13 year old to transfer that to here if you want to see it.
