I spent 5 years at Taylor in the marketing department. I had always had a fascination with wood and guitars so I was in my element for sure. I learned a lot. At that time I was a bass player in a band and played guitar for songwriting and fun. I acguired a few very nice pieces while I was there. A beautiful walnut GA. One of two ever made with a walnut neck, a Leo Kottke 12 with an ES, and a T5 that I painted for the NAMM show, You can find a picture of her on the for sale page as I was prompted to put her image up by one of the members here.
These days I play much more guitar then bass and have my eye on a standard SolidBody that is being auctioned for a Julian Library fund raiser(also listed on the UTGF for sale page). I am just dipping my toes in the water with playing some lead riffs. (sounds like I play with my toes at this point) So it would be great to add the SolidBody in. I got to try her out... Very Nice. The classics not bad either.
I was at Taylor during the birth of the T5 ,the SolidBody, the GS and R Taylor,... Exciting times for sure!
