Joe Bonamassa
« on: February 03, 2013, 09:40:10 AM »
I was at work one day talking about musicians and what not and  one guy says "did you ever hear of Joe Bonamassa? and i said "no i haven't "so that night i punched him up on u-tube and never really paid any too much to it  till last night. I brought him up again full concert at the Royal Albert Hall where ever that is . Holly molly i really like that guy , has a nice style . I have a 18 in lab top and the concert is in HD . Im not finished watching it yet but for sure gonna pay more attention to this dude.

Hi Louis...  Yea.. for sure. He is a great guitarist! My grandson sent me a link to one of his songs. I like his style so much (and i have never been much of a blues fan) that I had to order that DVD. It sounds great especially on home theater.  "HAPPIER TIMES" is my favorite of his.. that guitar sends me away..!  lol...     Ballad of John Henry, and Mountain Time are another 2 of my favorites of his.

Yeah.  And he's a nice guy as well.  He hangs out over on the Les Paul Forum some.

ya he seems like a real approachable  fellow for sure . Doesn't  it always amaze you how a guy like this at 5 yrs old makes a decision what he's gonna do in life and play the Royal Albert and the next guy chooses to be a welfare case and never accomplishes anything.A real chilly moment when Eric. His idol walked on stage to play with him .

The is something about Joe that only comes through live. I have a promoter friend who used to book Joe in Houston and he was always telling me how incredible he was. I listened to a few album tracks and did not really understand what the big deal was. Then we got front row seats and you realize that the guitar is part of his anatomy.  The videos are OK but if you ever get to see him live, make the effort ... It is well worth it.
