I know it's hard to find the first runs, but when are the 618ce etc going to hit stores with the full production models?

I played a standard 518 (no electronics, no inlays) last week, so it looks like the regular models are already on their way out.

Also, I noticed that the standard models do have the side bracing like the first run of GO models do. I think there was some confusion about that being a limited feature. Looks to be standard. It didn't have the headstock inlay though.

I'm glad you brought up the 618e. I mstakenly wrote "618ce". Is it true that Taylor is discouraging the cut-a-way on the X18's because it would take away from the sound because of the bracing on the X18's?

not sure about that as the cutaway is an option on these.

On page 10, Bob Taylor feels that a cutaway makes a minor difference.
