Here's a prayer from my wife and I that you never have to go through that again!
We all have our stories, but suffice it to say that a lot of us come here to relax and unwind.
I hope we've helped you to do just that.

Susie,

Thanks for sharing what you've been through. The news is positive and that's good. We'll be praying for you. Two of my high school classmates and my sister-in-law have all had breast cancer. Thankfully, they caught in time. They had go through some awful stuff, but they are all strong women. But then I think women are stronger than us men folk anyway.

Thanks again for spreading the word and getting the message out there. I wish you a speedy recovery.
Pick up my guitar and play, just like yesterday

Susie, I wish you well for the future and applaud your bravery and strength facing the ordeal. I lost my beautiful sister to breast cancer ten years ago when the technology and screening systems were nowhere compared to today. My wife is a biomedical scientist responsible for cervical screening processes at our local hospital. The progress being made to combat this dreadful disease is incredible but the biggest problem is sheer apathy to the whole screening process. Well done.

TaylorGirl! There is some scientific evidence that prayer does have effects. Whether it's petitioning a Supreme Being or directing a current in the collective unconscious (zero point field) who can say? But I will say a sincere one for you whenever I take my guitar out of the case. Blessings and good luck!

This is why I want to get my message out. Thank you.
...make music a part of your recuperation.
I am definitely doing this. Music has alway been my therapy.
You may never know how many lives you might save through your post.
Hopefully at least one.
...but they are all strong women. But then I think women are stronger than us men folk anyway.
My brother said the same thing. His wife is undergoing treatment for stage II breast cancer (mine is stage I). He said the reason God gave women breasts, is because men couldn't be strong like women. I know we're all kidding about that....I know some pretty strong men (emotionally). My dad is one  :).
...17 yrs ago when my Wife had Her cancer scare.
A big YEAH for your wife! Survivors (of any cancer) need to speak out and rejoice. They are great people to encourage the people currently receiving treatment.

Again, thanks to EVERYONE!
What a great forum.
I feel much better having made my original post.
Life is good!

Susie, you are going through a very difficult time--kudos for sharing your message to spread the word about this awful disease. My sister-in-law and I attended college near Three Mile Island when it had its partial meltdown. Turns out a high number of pregnant women developed cancer even though they were young, and cancer wasn't common in their families. My sister-in-law developed breast cancer while pregnant with her second son, but her cancer was so aggressive that it spread quickly. Sadly she lost her battle.

It's a very important message to share. Thank you for being so open and honest about your situation. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
