hi every1. just joined since I have a new taylor on the way. 2014 522. great price from wildwood guitars and suppose to be here tomorrow. lucky I have to work out of town so its easier to let it sit till sat. cold as heck last night. I have had 3 taylors before. a mini,214 and a 310. recently sold my Gibson j35 looking for something smaller and came across the 522 for sale. I love mahogany and have been waiting to just try 1. but the deal was so good I bought it sight unseen. ;D

Hello. First member I've known who is also from Michigan. I'm from Gaylord. Congratulations on your new 522. Wildwood Guitars is a great place to deal with. Remember to post pics for us. We love guitar porn.

Welcome to the forum.  Gotta have at least one all hog small body in the stable.  Is your GC a 12-fret or 14-fret?

I'm from the suburbs north of Detroit and we go through both West Branch and Gaylord quite often for trips up north.  Both towns do indeed have a lot of snow (even drove through flurries in mid-May years ago in Gaylord) but we are doing pretty well ourselves with a 16" snowfall last Sunday.  Just started guitar lessons in September (my husband is taking baritone ukulele) when serious health problems arose and it looked like I should get to some of those things on my bucket list sooner rather than later.  I've played keyboards and clarinet as a youth but my first time with a string instrument and find it the most challenging of all but worth the effort.  Am in love with the rich Taylor sound and have found that the shorter scale of the GS Mini with Elixer Custom Lights are perfect for my hands which have some arthritis.  New to this forum and my first post.
