I'm Sam and I just joined the UTGF. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am in terms of guitars. It probably has something to do with the fact that guitar isn't my first instrument. My voice is my primary instrument, and I play a few other things. Years ago I had a band and traveled leading worship and doing concerts around the nation. When I decided to pick up the guitar to add an additional piece to the band, I bought an inexpensive Takamine with a pickup. I told myself that if I stayed with it, I'd buy a pro-level. During that year, I played several of my friends guitars...Taylor, Martin, Breedlove, Guild, Gibson, Takamine. When I played a Gibson J200, I knew that was what I wanted to start with. I've had mine for 19 years. Love this guitar! I always wanted a 12-string to go with it. I played many over the years. Due to a series of events, I decided it was time. I 'auditioned' a ton of them. I settled on my Taylor 655ce. Man, what a sound!! Such a great guitar! The reality is that due to what I'm doing now, I simply don't play my 655 and someone should be enjoying it. I'm looking to sell that and get a back up 6 string. So I joined here to see what people had to say about Taylor 6 strings. There you have it!
