Belated NGD!
« on: October 30, 2016, 05:32:23 AM »
After lurking around here forever it finally occurred to me that I never posted details of my NGD back in May!

May marked my 30th birthday, and as a present to myself (with contributions from lovely family!) I decided on a 324ce Shaded Edgeburst.

Admission time....originally, as a big John Mayer fan, I had my heart set on a Martin, but after going out locally and playing a couple that were in my price range, I was not impressed. Perhaps I played a couple of poor examples, but nothing felt as good as the Taylor 324 that I played.

Once I saw the Shaded Edgeburst, there was no way back...nowhere locally sold it but I found one a couple of hundred miles away and took the plunge, after the dealer accepted an offer some 25% below the advertised price.

I couldn't be more thrilled with it, and that's even with my absolute basic level of ability. I've certainly got an instrument I can grow into as the years go on, and I'm really happy with my decision to end up in Taylor land  ;D

I'm not normally a "sunburst" fan, but do think the Taylor "edgeburst" is classy. Yours is another fine example of classy. Looks great! Hope you're still lovin' it after 5 months. And happy belated birthday.

Happy Birthday and welcome to the forum! That is one pretty guitar. So glad you're enjoying it. I'm guessing that it will be an instrument for life, regardless of what else you may pick up along the way. God bless...

Certainly will! I'm hoping that over the years it'll grow into a guitar collection, but this one will be here forever  :)

Welcome to the forum Bristol86.  That sure is a nice looking 324ce, no doubt it sounds equally as well.  Congratulations.
