Still... Getting to know you...
« on: October 18, 2016, 10:48:19 PM »
I've been back and forth about this guitar. I like the fretboard but am so used to the sound of my 12-fretters (the maple OM & the parlor). Last night I was ready to take it back. Tonight I played fingerstyle arrangements I hadn't touched in 10+ years and I now know why this is such a popular guitar with fingerstyle players. It was sweet and easy. I think we just need to spend more time together. It is developing a ring and sustain that wasn't there even a week or so ago. I'm hearing note separation I didn't have on my old guitar and I'm liking it. Why do I overthink things so much?!

It's called cognitive dissonance - second-guessing our first decision. I  know that I have been a victim over the years in my quest for having the right instrument(s). With experience, it goes away as you gain trust in your own instincts. I'm  confident that you have made the right decision. Enjoy the journey!
