Just got an 856c(no electronics).  Beautiful guitar.   First Taylor, I own a Martin HD-35 and 000M.  Must say the Taylor plays easier than the Martins.  Falling in love again at 54!

Dcary I am wanting a GC8 for Christmas. Beautiful guitars. I was curious does the Thighmaster on the chair in the back ground help with your guitar playing?  ;D

Too last to vote in the poll but FWIW.

I have an 814ce and a 310e.

The 310 is my "Stunt" Guitar, I bought it used with dings so I don't worry about it.  It stays out and gets passed around  ;)  The 814ce is my baby, easiest playing acoustic I've ever touched .  8)

I missed this thread during the time that the poll was open. If not the Gallery Series, it should have included the Presentation Series.

Of my 5 Taylors below, only one is a "series" model, and even that one doesn't have the standard specs. FWIW, I have owned a GC7 and a W65 in the past

The sd in 714sd means it has s-spruce (sitka) for the topwood instead of cedar and d-diamonds for the fretboard inlay instead of the dots.. Also, the 714sd is a guitar center exclusive..

Yep, that's what the "SD" means. There's a couple more "bling" differences. It has the antiqued gold machines and it has the 3-ring abalone soundhole rosette and the spruce top is natural finish (no sunburst). I guess it's like a rosewood 514 as much as anything?
