Cooperstown Road Trip
« on: August 06, 2021, 08:49:54 AM »
Just got back from a flying (as in quick) visit to Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. Not only was that a great take, but it was also a visit to a literal "Main St, USA". Totally rustic Northeast community centered around baseball. And kind of out in the middle of nowhere, but that's part of the charm.

If you go, be sure to reserve a full day to do the Hall justice. You won't be sorry.

Thanks for the PIREP, Don!  Have always wanted to do the Baseball Hall of Fame, but my travels have never taken me up that direction.  Will have to re-double my efforts.

That was one of our stops when we went on vacation as kids. I remember enjoying it as a family. I'm sure it's even more impressive today....a "few" years later.  ;D

On a side note, it's a neat experience to revisit some of these vacation spots that I first visited as a kid. I've got to do that with my husband on many occasions. Kind of a before and after comparison. Maybe Cooperstown.

Let's see Susie, you probably went to the hall around 2005 when Wade Boggs was inducted. Right?
