I'm using the express shine on mine.

Picked up some Turtle wax Express Shine at the local Walmart last night after reading about it the Taylor website. Haven't waxed up the BBT yet but will soon.

I read about it, but I have a satin finish on my Spring Edition 314ce.
I use Meguiars Ultimate Wax on all of my cars and Motorcycles.

Seems odd to use a Polymer on a Guitar, but it really does shine when applied to a car finish.

Would Meguiars Ultimate Wax be recommended for my Taylor?
Especially for the satin finish.
It would be nice to see if it would bring out the Satin KOA wood grain.

Looks nice enough in its natural state, but I would like to protect the finish.

I though wax/polish on the satin finish wasn't recommended. Gloss, yes. Satin, no. Sorry to be vague, I don't remember where I read about it. Maybe somewhere on here.  ;D

After contacting Turtle Wax in the UK, the product Taylor recommends is not available over here.
Taylor GA-Ke
Yamaha LL16
Taylor GS Mini Mahogany
Yamaha SLG100s

More money than ability.

I saw it on the Taylor website Saturday. I believe it said all finishes including the back of the neck.

I've used it on my Taylor's that have both gloss and satin finishes. No problems at all. :)

I too use it without problems. The resulting smell is somewhat confusing, though... you open the case and expect a wood smell but instead it's like a car.

Yes, it does leave a temporary car detail aroma! ;D Unlike many car waxes I've used to detail my cars, this wax is very thin and liquidy making it quite easy to use.

Turtle Wax Express Shine ended all my searching for the perfect guitar cleaner/polish. It works great on all my Taylors, old or new!
My Taylor Grand Auditoriums:

1997 Cujo14 - old growth cedar/black walnut
2014 K24e - master grade koa
2018 Custom GA - bear claw sitka spruce/mahogany
2019 614 - torrified sitka spruce/flamed maple
2020 714 - lutz spruce/rosewood

I know it is cheap, but how many CARS will one container wax?
We need three drops to wax the top of a guitar.
A small, one ounce bottle would last a year and could fit inside the case.

One coat of wax could last 3 months..

Not sure about using the Polymers, but Taylor said most car waxes were safe to use..

Once I detail the satin finish, it will take years or perhaps a life time to undo what I have done.

Satin looks nice, but Gloss really brings out the beauty of the wood.  Waxing Satin, might just be the ticket.
Who wants to go first?
20 coats of hand rubbed Polymer...
