Oh yes, we've had 94 inches of snow so far. It is beautiful here. We love it. I can't imagine Christmas without snow. We really enjoy the winter sports here in Northern Michigan (snowmobiling, snowshoeing, etc.).

No.  We live in the Tropical Tip of Texas.  No snow - just the way we like it!  Warm temps, swaying palm trees, Santa arrives by boat, pulled by 8 dolphins.   8)

In 2004, there was a freak, fierce norther that blew in on Christmas Eve... there was a dusting of snow!  People were calling it "a Christmas miracle."  First time in 108 years that there had been snow here.  I looked outside, saw snow falling on our boat and said, "We didn't move far enough south!"

After 30 years in the Black Hills of western South Dakota, I don't ever need to be in snow again.  Left behind that mountain man in favor of my inner island boy.   ;)

Warm holiday wishes,
Jim

we had an ice storm over the weekend that dumped 3 inches of ice over everything. only way to get into your car was to take a hammer to it... good thing the only one left out was the '99 Corolla..but it still took 2 hours of careful hammering to get to the door and windows. and salt...lots of salt to get out of the driveway.
so yes...it was very white...and shiny.. i coulda done without the shiny.

Nope - high 60's, driving down the highway with the windows down and the sunroof open, and loving it. The downside of this great weather is that this is the time of year that we get our rain and snow pack in the mts. It has been a very dry year. Usually we have beautiful green hills in our area (SF Bay Area), but they are still very brown (excuse me, "golden").

I've lived many years in snow country (upper mid-west, and CA mts), and while I can enjoy some snow fun I have to admit that I don't miss it a bit. The nice thing about where I live is that when there is snow in the mts it is only about a 3 hr drive a way. If I wanted, I could get up early, head to the mts and play for a while, then hop in the car for a few hours to end the day lounging on a beach!
