Yes those are Mr. Colosi's dyed bone pin's. I like the dyed bone pins a lot.
Me too - I got a set of dyed bone bridge pins for my 2013 FLTD as well. I also replaced the gold buttons with Madagascar rosewood buttons. They're beautiful guitars aren't they?
Other than cosmetics, are there any noticeable tonal differences when replacing the bridge pins with bone? I am thinking of getting one for my Koa GC BTO. Thanks!
In my experience, the harder or more dense the bridge pin material, the more presence in the tone. Ebony is good, buffalo horn is better, and bone seems best to my ear. Many will disagree and say that bridge pins have little influence over sound. I personally can hear the difference.
