NGD about a month ago
« on: June 25, 2015, 07:58:38 AM »
Dropped the ball and didn't post... Journey OF660. Carbon fiber and the neck comes off. Fits in a backpack case that even goes into the overhead of a commuter jet. I'm very impressed with the sound and playability. Sorry no picks  - I'm sitting in a McDonald's.

Congrats.  These are impressive guitars, considering their purpose.  I have only had my hands on the wood models, however, I would like to test drive the carbon fiber.  Looking forward to your pics and review!

Congrats, sounds like a perfect travel guitar.

I guess I qualify for a NGD as well -- a patient gave me a Tenor guitar to add to my collection (have an arch top, a baritone, a classical, a twelve string, an electric (solid body), a bunch of 6 strings).  What's missing?

Here are some pics of the Journey OF660:

In the case (with the neck pulled out so you can see where it goes):

Other views (not there there's an grain to see). The black is glossy and very reflective.

Thanks TaylorGirl. That thing has an amazingly good sound and playability for a travel guitar. I've tried a bunch and this is my clear favorite.

Very nice looking.  Glad to hear it sounds good, too.  Was really leaning towards one of those before going for a Voyage-Air.  There are times I still regret not getting one.

I am leaning towards a Rainsong Shorty to be a travel guitar that I would dare take more places. I will have to check out the journey though, thank you.
Enjoy and thanks for sharing.
