#117: Humble 2016 GS Mini mahogany, left-handed.

My first guitar after playing piano for decades, am one week in and already know and can almost play 7 chords...fingers numb and tingly but progress can only be made with sacrifice.  ;)

#118 - Just got a Godin ACS SA nylon string with synth access (Roland 13 pin) and Roland GR-55.  Guitar Center had its annual Gutarathon" and one of the instruments on sale was the Godin.  The manager offered me a very good discount off of both pieces if I bought them during the Guitarathon.  This was unadvertised, and just a verbal thing that happened at that moment.  Both pieces were brand new.  The Godin is very well made and quite versatile.  The GR-55 is ... a fun toy for me, though certainly pro piece of gear.

I don't know why, but Guitar Center has been offering some unusually great deals lately (at least the one closest to me).  Over the past few months, I have gotten a used 2012 fall limited Taylor GAce-N-fltd in mint condition, a new Taylor 914ce, and now the Godin/Roland pair.  All were at very, very good prices.

Turned 50 this year -- been playing my old fairly cheap (and cheap sounding) Fender acoustic dreadnought for YEARS...  Got to splurge with two new guitars!!!

#129   2016 Taylor 314 CE

#130   2016 Martin MMV

Love Taylors and Martins for different reasons. I am so fortunate to be able play them both. Thankful for having a wife that supported my awesome bday gifts!! I can't believe how much having guitars you love impacts practice time and ultimately better playing.  Makes all the difference...
