Belated NGD
« on: January 02, 2017, 05:33:30 PM »
I am late in posting this. This should have been a 2016 NGD post, but oh well . . . Craig had a NGD post regarding his mun ebony Taylor back in September that really got my GAS going -- so to speak. I was able to locate one and here it is. I really like this guitar; it's a very nice sound complimented by Engelmann spruce. From what I was able to find out from Andy Powers, they only made about 10 of these, and there won't likely be any more. Sorry the pictures aren't great. It's always difficult with the reflections.

Here is a sound clip:

Thanks, Michael, just added it to the 2016 list. Yes, it does have rosewood binding and ebony rosette. I had the antique chrome Gotoh 510s put on at Portland Fretworks.

Very striking wood on that one, "Amos!"  Congratulations!  I probably should have looked into one of those Taylors in Mun Ebony, but I've just had too many irons in the fire lately...  I wonder which dealers wound up with those ten guitars...?

Yeah, those are at Empire Music.  Very nice guitars!  I would have picked one up myself if I didn't already have one of the African Ebony 2013 Spring Limited 614ce's.

Oh I get the blame for everything  8)
Seriously though it's a beauty. Did they say they made 10 guitars or 10 custom GA's? Mine is a GS so probably an even rarer beast.

Enjoy it and welcome to the Mun club (current membership 2)!

Haha, no, won't blame you for this one! He said 10 guitars. My brother has one as well. Those are the only three that I know of.

Interesting, I saw a couple of GA's when I was searching around but didn't see any other GS's. That probably ties in with the usual GA/GS sales ratios.
