Greetings from Texas!
« on: March 01, 2018, 02:57:43 PM »
Hi everyone! My name is Mark Stone, and I have played guitar for about 5 decades. Yeah, I'm older - but that's OK, a lot of you probably are also lol. I currently play lead acoustic for a Church band, and my go-to instrument is a Taylor 110e. Sure, it's at the modest end of the Taylor line, but it is a very solid, practical performer and has become like my right arm. Most of my history has been using Gibson acoustics (and I still love Gibson) however the balance of build quality, sound, and especially stage practicality of my 110e has stolen my heart. I've played in clubs, bars and coffeeshops, sometimes professionally, and would consider my guitar playing ability "adequate". But I do indeed love my 110e, so . . . . here I am!

Hi Mark.  Lets start by saying I am not the youngest one here, and I don't think I am the oldest one here, but I am past the in-between part.

My first venture into the Taylor world was a 110 no e, so I know what a good guitar you have, as have many here on the forum.  I think you fit in here with ease.

Mark, another "oldie-but-goodie" here also, so feel right at home.

I also have a 110e and I enjoy playing it everyday.  A great guitar!

Martin D-20 12 string (1970)
Yamaha APX500III
Taylor 110e Prototype (2016)
Fender Squier Vintage Modified 70s Tele
Reville MV-XM (actually a very nice Gibson copy!)
Donner Strat (copy)

Welcome, Mark...Those are awesome guitars for the price...Had one for a long time, but punted it when I got other Taylors that i played more.  I kinda regret it because it played so good.   My nephew has one and actually makes a few bucks gigging with it.

I'm in San Angelo and just retired....getting used to it.   Hope you enjoy the forum!
