new "Wood and Steel" Fall 2018

I received a hard copy of the new "Wood and Steel", Fall 2018, in the mail today (10/22). The PDF is not yet up on the website.

It discusses the new 614CE Builder's Edition, and the 300/400 series V class guitars.

Just got mine today, Oct 26, on the east coast.

Arrived in great shape, so the post office did it's job.

Edit:  I’ve just read the columns by Keith Brawley, VP of Sales and Bob T.  I just love the culture of this company. They are becoming so successful, production can’t keep up with sales. And for those of you doubting V-Class, keep trying. To read of their ironclad commitment to this improved design convinces me that they are on to something. Owning one that gets A/B’d with a superb custom HD28V every week convinces me further.

And hey! Got a letter published in “Ask Bob”. See if you can guess who I am.

No joy as of today's mail delivery here in Idaho.  But I'm not anxiously holding my breath either.  I will certainly read much of it upon arrival, but that can wait.  I was in a big Taylor dealer in Tucson (Rainbow Guitars) last Thursday afternoon, but they didn't have any new issues there.

Taylors:  424-LTD (all koa) and a 114ce that lives with friends in Alaska.  Low maintenance carbon fiber guitars are my "thing" these days, but I will always keep the koa 424.  Several ukulele and bass guitars too.

Just got my copy today. Bet you're asking about Taylor rumors on being sold out of Koa. I won't spoil Bob's answer, for those of you who don't have the issue yet.  8)

When I looked at specs for Presentation series they had Milano Brazilian and Cocobolo instead of Striped Ebony for BS.

Mine arrived yesterday.  A "Find Your Fit" event is upcoming in my area, plan to bring my 2005 614CE to compare with the new V-Class 614CE Builder's Reserve.
